Payroll Processor


The incumbent will be responsible for performing the daily data entry associated with updating and maintaining the system in order to provide accurate payment to employees.
The Payroll Processor must be proficient in PeopleSoft 9.1
  • Coordinating with the company’s payroll vendor
  • Performing, documenting, and preparing audit packages
  • Preparing standard and custom reports
  • Provide support during payroll implementations
  • Documenting the processing cycle to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Proactively engaging in continuous process improvements
  • Act as a secondary level of contact for employees regarding payroll and payroll tax issues and will need to respond to employee questions with detailed and professional responses within the set response time guideline


  • High School Diploma or the equivalent. Bachelor’s Degree in Business, HR, or related field is desired
  • A Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification is desired
  • At least 2  – 3 years’ experience in Payroll administration, responsible for the entire process from start to end require
  • Ability to maintain confidential information
  • Must possess outstanding communication, customer service, and organizational skills
  • Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Must possess strong PC skills, Microsoft Office – Word, Excel; and the ability to learn new systems quickly
  • Knowledge and experience with a payroll software is required.
  • Ability to prioritize workload to meet processing deadlines
  • Ability to collaborate with others outside of the department and third parties
  • Potential for up to 10% travel

Client is in the midst of changing their on premise payroll solution to the cloud.
